Abstract

644,551. Brackets for shelves and mirrors. JACOBSEN, E. S. Sept. 9, 1948, No. 23706. [Classes 52 (iii) and 52 (v)] A bracket for supporting a shelf comprises a wire rail member 1 extending round the side and forward edges of the shelf, with downwardly directed loops 5, 6 the free ends of the loops being bent to form shelf supporting arms 7, 8 with the ends bent up to provide shelf retaining members 9, 10. The device is attached to the support by screws 15 passing through the loops. Since the wire does not bend to form sharp corners the arms 7, 8 are dipped adjacent their ends to ensure good surface contact between the retaining members and the edge of the shelf. In a modification shown in Fig. 5 the loops are formed upwardly and form supports for sleeves 218, 219.between which a mirror is placed.
