Abstract

1,235,612. Shelving; shop counters. ARMSTRONG STORE FIXTURE CO. 10 June, 1969 [11 July, 1968], No. 29406/69. Headings A4B and A4T. A plastics partition for fitment on a shelf or counter is moulded in one piece and comprises an open-work, rectangular body 12 with a bottom rail 14 with a laterally projecting flange with a bottom lying flush with that of the rail 14 to provide a bearing surface for the partition, the rail 14 being formed at its opposite ends with integral means for securing the partition to the shelf or counter 64, one of the securing arms being resilient. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, apertures in the shelf are engaged by hooks 52, 54 at one end of the partition and by hooks 36, 38 forming a part of the resilient securing means 26 at the opposite end. As shown, the hooks 36, 38 are carried by a part 34 carried by resilient means attached to an inclined part 22 of the rail 14 and comprising rigid limbs 28, 31, 32 interconnected by resiliently flexible partitions 48, 50. In another embodiment, Fig. 6, hooks 162, 146 at the opposite ends of the partition body 112 resiliently clamp over opposite shelf edges. In a modification (Fig. 7) the bottom rail (214) of the partition is straight over its whole length.
