In an improvement in or modification of the cable conveyer of the parent Specification the endless cable 1 is supported by sheaves 2, 3, 4 and 5 to form two vertically spaced, parallel, twin cable tracks A, C and B, D, which extend between two terminal stations and move in opposite directions upon rotation of the sheaves. Cross-over cable guide sheaves 6, 7, 8 and 9 rotatably mounted on vertical spindles are provided at one of the terminal stations. The rope tensioning arrangement, load carrying buckets, means for loading and unloading the buckets and the arrangements for transferring the buckets from one track to the other are identical to that described in the parent Specification.
