1362095 Cable railways BECORIT GRUBENAUSBAU GmbH 13 Sept 1972 [28 Sept 1971] 42410/72 Heading B7L In cableway of the kind having guide means for a traction cable 12 wherein suspension brackets for transport units are provided on and suspended by the cable, each guide means comprises a frame 1 carrying two mutually opposed guide pulleys 8 thereon with the flanges 9 thereof in engagement, the pullys 8 being mounted on bearings 7 in supporting arms 6 which extend lengthwise of the cable, the arms 6 being hinged by joints 5 to the frame 1 such that the pulleys 8 are movable along respective paths which extend outwardly and upwardly to open between the flanges 9 a gap through which the suspension brackets can pass, this movement being limited by stops (not shown), so that the traction cable cannot pass through the gap, the cable thus being supported by the guide means at all times. The suspension brackets are secured to the cable by sleeves (not shown) having tapered ends, the sleeves having a cross-sectional dimension such that they engage the pulleys 8 and open the gap between the flanges 9 for the passage of the respective bracket. Guides 15 with rounded ends 16 are provided to ensure that the brackets enter the gap, and a holding down pulley 13 is provided on each frame 1 to prevent the cable from jumping upwardly and away from the pulleys 8.
