934,267. Friction clutches. K. HAUSSERMANN, H. HAUSSERMANN, and L. HAUSSERMANN, [trading as LAMELLENUND KUPPLUNGSBAU A. HAUSSERMANN]. Feb. 22, 1961, No. 6413/61. Class 80 (2). In a friction clutch having a disc 7 clamped between a flywheel and a presser plate 5 by a diaphragm spring 6, the presser plate has lugs 2 projecting through openings 3 in a base-plate 4 fast with the flywheel, and one or more antirattle springs 1 of U-shape are provided, each spring being fixed at 8 to the base-plate 4 and having an arm 1b pressing against a side of a lug 2 so that the lugs are urged against the edges 3a of the openings 3. Only one spring 1 need be provided, but it is preferred to employ two springs disposed at diametrically opposite positions to balance the clutch and avoid tilting of the presser plate.
