Abstract

932,579. Self-wringing mops. PRESTIGE GROUP Ltd. April 18, 1962 [April 25, 1961], No. 14955/61. Class 19. In a mop head particularly for a selfwringing mop, and comprising a sponge or like slab 23 secured to a backing member 25, turn buttons 24 are mounted on the member 25 for ready attachment and removal of the mop head to and from the head carrier plate 12. In the self-wringing mop illustrated, the devices 24 engage in slots 31 (not shown) in the carrierplate, which comprises parts 13 and 14 hinted together. The part 13 is rigidly secured to a socket member 11 and the part 14 is pivoted downwardly to wring the sponge 23 by operating a lever 17 connected by a rod 18 to the part 14.
