Abstract

931,902. Injection moulding machines. BONE BROS. Ltd., and E. R. KLEIN. Feb. 22, 1962 [Feb. 22, 1961], No. 6484/61. Class 87(2). An injection moulding machine has a feed screw 1 provided forwardly of its screw threads with an extension 4 having an aperture 5 controlled by a valve member 8 which permits forward flow of thermoplastic material but prevents reverse flow during injection. Injection may be effected by axial movement of the feed screw or by a separate plunger. The aperture 5 communicates with passages 6 in the extension 4 and passages 10 in a detachable ring member 9. Specification 860,217 is referred to.
