Abstract
931,512. Thermal switches. ETABLISSEMENTS AUGE ET CIE, and SOC. METALLURGIQUE D'IMPHY. March 17, 1960 [March 27, 1959; Dec. 30, 1959], No. 9437/60. Class 38 (5). A switch designed for mounting inside the coil of a small motor comprises a dished bimetallic disc 1 with lugs 2 extended by terminals 13, 14 and carrying contacts co-operating with fixed contacts 15, 16. The latter may be mounted on an insulating foil 17 or on the casing 9 (Fig. 3, not shown), the casing being made of insulating material, of metal insulatingly lined, or of anodized aluminium. The dished disc 1 is located between co-operating portions of an internal seating 10 so that the only permitted movement is a snap-action bowing. The casing flattens the normal curvature of the disc to increase contact pressure and by duplicating the fixed contacts, a two-way switch may be provided.
