930,716. Louvre type windows and window shutters; ventilators. O. BERARD. Nov. 14, 1961 [Nov. 14, 1960], No. 40733/61. Classes 20 (3) and 137. A composite louvre slat for use on louvre type window shutters and windows comprises an extruded hollow body 8 of plastics material and a fitting 11 at each end, this latter being provided with tongues 12 protruding from one side fitted into corresponding slots in the ends of the slots and on the other side with a dowel 13 inserted into a conventional spring clip 4 mounted on pivoted arms 2 operated together by a link mechanism 5, 7. Each slat has top and bottom longitudinal flaps 9 which overlap the flaps of adjacent slats and a resilient tube 10 or other backing strip may be fitted on the flaps so as to be squeezed between overlapping flaps. Oppositely turned flanges 109 prevent undue squeezing of the tube 10.
