930,526. Fusible cut-outs. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. (Standard Elektrik Lorenz A.G.). Dec. 21, 1961, No. 45851/61. Class 38 (1). A plurality of fusible elements, each capable of inclusion in a different electrical circuit, are led through a pellet of an explosive heat responsive material, so that if one of the fusible elements is fused, the heat produced explodes the pellet so as to sever the other or others of the fusible elements. As shown, a cylinder 1 of insulating material is provided with head contact 2 and contact ring 5 connected by fuse element 6 and with head contact 3 and contact ring 4 connected by fuse element 7, the elements 6, 7 being held in close proximity by bead 8 of explosive material. Bead 8 may be of insulating material or conductive material in which case the fuse elements are insulated by a protective covering.
