Abstract

A material which produces a vapour simulating steam when heated, comprises a mixture of a first aliphatic hydrocarbon having a boiling point within the range 180 DEG to 270 DEG C. a second aliphatic hydrocarbon having a boiling point within the range 300 DEG to 400 DEG C. and a liquid having a boiling point within the range 40 DEG to 100 DEG C. In an example the mixture consists substantially of petroleum distillate as the first aliphatic hydrocarbon in the proportion of 50 to 96% a second aliphatic hydrocarbon in the proportion of 30 to 2% and essential oil having a boiling point within the range 40 DEG to 100 DEG C. in the proportion of 30 to 2%. Specification 922,195 is referred to.ALSO:A material which produces a vapour simulating steam when heated, comprising a mixture of a first aliphatic hydrocarbon having a boiling-point within the range 180 DEG to 270 DEG C. a second aliphatic hydrocarbon having a boiling point within the range 300-400 DEG C and a liquid having a boiling point within the range 40 DEG to 100 DEG C.
