Abstract
928,667. Valves. ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. Feb. 13, 1962 [Feb. 28, 1961], No. 7192/61. Class 135. [Also in Group XXXIII] A rotary valve 23 controls the passage through a gas turbine jet pipe 17 and a port 21 in the wall of the pipe, the axis of rotation 22 being transverse to and in a plane below the jet pipe longitudinal axis, the valve face being curved to aid in deflecting the gases through port 21. Port 21 is provided with a downwardly directed duct portion 19 also pivotable at 22.
