Abstract
928,356. Injection moulding machines. K. AOKI. Feb. 23, 1961 [Feb. 23, 1960], No. 6744/61. Class 87(2). An injection moulding machine comprises a frame 4, a stationary die mount 2 mounted on the frame 4, a movable die mount 6 operated by a hydraulic cylinder 1 through tie bars 5 slidable in the frame 4, the movable die mount 6 being disposed on that side of the stationary die mount 2 remote from the hydraulic cylinder 1, and an injector 3, at least the delivery part of which is mounted between the die mount 2 and the hydraulic cylinder 1. Dies 7a, 7b are fixed to the die mounts 2, 6 respectively the die 7b being movable towards and away from the die 7a by operation of the cylinder 1. Screw threads 11 on the piston rod 1d of the cylinder 1 allow adjustment of the distance between the die mounts 2, 6 to accommodate dies 7a, 7b of different thicknesses. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 1 (not shown), this adjustment is provided by movement of the die mount 6 relative to the tie bars 5 by rotation of nuts, as 9, on the tie bars, and the injector 3 is mounted horizontally between the die mount 2 and the cylinder 1.
