928,279. Making girders &c. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS Ltd. Dec. 20, 1961 [Dec. 5, 1960], No. 41796/60. Class 83 (2). A method of making a girder, beam or the like comprises forming a series of generally parallel spaced slots 2 through the web of a length of girder material at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the length of the section so as to leave bars 3 extending between the flange 4 and the bead 5 and forcing the flange and bead of the web in opposite directions parallel to the length of the guide to increase the spacing between the edges of the girder.
