[Also in Group XXIX] In a continuous-flow heating system, flow of water from an inlet 2 to an outlet 8 raises a diaphragm 3 which is connected to a rod 12 carrying spaced stops 14, 14<SP>1</SP> so that the stop 14 rocks a lever 17 about a pivot 18. The other end of lever 17 is lowered and tilts clockwise a spring 20 so as to raise a lever 22 which closes a moving contact 29<SP>1</SP> on to a fixed contact 29 in a heater circuit for the water. The lever 17 is thus moved on in advance of the stop 14, so that the diaphragm can move further to allow a water valve 6 to move upwards to regulate the flow of water.
