1307987 Temperature control devices ALLIED IRONFOUNDERS Ltd 10 April 1970 [25 April 1969] 21246/69 Heading G1D [Also in Division F4] In a room heater provided with a water boiler 3, a temperature control device includes a phial 4 containing a volatile liquid sensitive to temperature and positioned either in a waterway of the boiler or in the hot outlet stream of the heater, a capillary tube 5 providing communication for the liquid between the phial 4 and a bellows 6 positioned in the cold air inlet stream of the heater, a pivoted lever 8 connected to the bellows 6, and a suspended arm 16 having an air inlet closure plate 18 and arranged for pivotal movement by the lever 8. The lever 8 which is pivoted at 9 to a bracket 7 is connected at one end to a temperature setting device 10 having a knob 11, spindle 12 and a spring 14 urging the lever 8 into engagement with the bellows 6, the other end of the lever 8 having an adjustable screw 15 for bearing on the arm 16 which is pivotally mounted at 17 above an air inlet 2.
