926,381. Making slippers &c. DENT, ALLCROFT & CO. Ltd. Aug. 14, 1959 [Aug. 25, 1958], No. 27213/58. Class 17 (2). Slippers &c. are formed by stitching together an upper 1 and lining 3 around the foot opening, right sides together, turning to have the right sides out, sewing, 14, with the lining side out around the edge of a resilient sole-piece 12, 13, turning, and top stitching, 16, the sole seam to give a rolled piping effect on the outside of the upper. The upper is elasticated at 9 across the heel seam. A strip 8 to form a loop is stitched in the seam 6 and over the heel seam 10. The sole comprises a sheet 12 of foam rubber or plastic sponge between layers 13 of leather or fabric. Portion 17 may be trimmed away before top stitching.
