Abstract

926,004. Bearing liners. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. Dec. 24, 1959 [Dec. 29, 1958], No. 41826/58. Class 12 (1). [Also in Groups V and XXX] A nylon bearing bush 23 is provided in a polyvinyl chloride roller or wheel 10 by locating the roller between mould members 12, 13 and a tapered mandrel formed in sections 15, 16 and injecting the nylon which has a higher melting-point than polyvinyl chloride into the cavity so formed. Keying surfaces 24, 25 are thus formed between the roller and the bush. An anti-friction liner 19 of flexible material may be located on section 15 of the mandrel and secured to the bush 23 during moulding. Sections 15, 16 are provided with end projections 26 which form dogs, Fig. 2 (not shown), on the ends of the bush. Specifications 806,605, 851,363 and 924,191 are referred to.
