Abstract
925,999. Reciprocating pumps. S. D. HILL. March 7, 1962 [March 10, 1961], No. 8766/61. Class 102(1). In oil dispensing apparatus, a bucket type pump has a mounting 1 attached to the screw threaded top aperture 5 of a container 3, there being a clearance 23 between the pump barrel 7 and a sleeve 24 of the mounting 1. A discharge outlet has a hose 18 attached and the end of the hose is fitted with a nozzle 21 having an anti-drip valve 25. The nozzle fits into an inclined socket 20 which has a drain hole 22 leading to the clearance 23. The pump is primed with the nozzle 21 in the socket 20. The pump delivers a pre-determined quantity of oil at each full stroke and this is varied by varying the lengths of the sleeves 29, 30. Specification 796,802 is referred to.
