Abstract

937,504. Reciprocating pumps. HORTON MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Oct. 3, 1961 [Oct. 5, 1960], No. 34151/60. Class 102(1). A dispensing pump is mounted in a reservoir 4 and includes a plunger A moveable into a cylinder 3 past an inlet 21 to discharge liquid through passages 20, bore 2b, recess 2f and a port 2g to an outlet 8b. The end of the plunger containing the recess 2f is surrounded by a tubular sheath 17 which constitutes a valve member for the port 2g. The sheath is continued as a bellows 18 which is clamped to the body 12. An annular hinged valve 19c allows liquid to flow from the inlet 21 into the cylinder on the return stroke.
