925,448. Converting. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 5, 1960 [Feb. 7, 1959], No. 4191/60. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XL (c)] In a circuit arrangement for preventing " screen burn " of a television receiver cathoderay tube (C.R.T.) (see Group XL (c)) the operating bias for the tube is supplied by a rectifier 5 fed with line flyback pulses ; the rectifier circuit includes brilliance control 6. In a second embodiment a triode rectifier is used and its circuit is connected to the C.R.T. grid, Fig. 2 (not shown). Specifications 740,881 and 762,440 are referred to.
