923,968. Valves. WESTERN THOMSON CONTROLS Ltd. Nov. 28, 1960 [Nov. 26, 1959], No. 40176/59. Class 135. [Also in Group XIII] An air escape valve for a liquid system such as the cooling circuit of an internalcombustion engine, comprises a valve seating 22 affording an air escape passage from the system and a buoyancy-operated closure device 23 comprising a buoyant valve head 24 made of synthetic resin material and connected by a stem 25 through the passage to an enlarged retainer head or disc 26, so as to permit the valve head to move to and from the seating as the liquid level rises or falls. This air escape valve may be associated with a water-flow valve, as disclosed in Specification 792,771 and comprising a spring-loaded valve member 13 adjustable by a thermostat 15 which may be made according to any of Specifications 757,429, 792,771, 792,797, 801,881 and 801,882.
