945,195. Indicating and measuring fluid flow. WILLIAM COULTHARD & CO.,Ltd. Sept. 19, 1962 [Dec. 2,1961], No. 43192/61. Heading G1R. A device for measuring and/or indicating fluid flow or for dispensing a fluid comprises a part 1 having a bore 5 in which is a piston 2 or similar device with a hole 9 in it closed by a valve 3 which is opened after the piston has moved a predetermined distance along the bore. The ball of the valve 3 is displaced from its seating 2a by the stem 6 of a perforated outlet plug 8 screwed into the top of the box. By selection of materials or by other means it is arranged that the ball sinks faster than the plug, thereby leaving the bore 9 open whilst the plug sinks. The part 1 is transparent or translucent and is graduated as at 10. Specifications 900,006 and 945,194 are referred to.
