923,507. Transistor frequency multiplying and oscillating circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 17, 1959 [Dec. 20, 1958], No. 42939/59. Class 40 (6). A crystal-controlled frequency multiplying transistor oscillator comprises a first crystalcontrolled transistor oscillator 1, the tuned output circuit 3, 4 of which is connected as shown in the Figure to the emitter-base path of a second transistor 5 acting as a frequency doubler of the output frequency of the oscillator 1 which latter frequency is a harmonic of the crystal 2. The output from the circuit is taken from tuned circuit 6 connected to the collector of the frequency multiplying transistor 5. A choke coil 7 keeps the capacitor 4 of the tuned output circuit of transistor 1 at D.C. earth potential and the variable inductor 8 allows minor frequency adjustments of the oscillator.
