Abstract
809,974. Transistor oscillators. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO. Ltd. Oct. 16, 1957 [Oct. 31, 1956], No. 33247/56. Class 40 (6). A transistor oscillator circuit comprises a parallel resonant circuit connected in the emitter circuit of an output junction transistor XI, a portion of the output being fed back to the emitter of an earthed base junction transistor X2, the collector of which is connected to the base of transistor X1 through a piezoelectric crystal X arranged to series-resonate at the resonant frequency of the paralleltuned circuit. The crystal X may be arranged to operate either at its fundamental frequency or at a harmonic thereof.
