Abstract
771,067. Transistor oscillator circuits. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. July 19, 1955 [July 29, 1955], No. 22154/54. Class 40(6) An oscillator circuit comprises a grounded base transistor T1, the output of which is connected to the base of a grounded collector transistor T2, a piezo electric crystal X being connected in a positive feedback path between the emitter electrodes of the transistors to cause the circuit to oscillate at the series resonant frequency of the crystal. The transistors may be of the point contact or PNP or NPN junction type, the second transistor preferably having a gain of unity and being arranged to have its output impedance equal to the sum of the crystal impedance and the input impedance of the first transistor.
