Class 7(4) In an ignition system of the condenser discharge type, a rectifier 11 is provided to restrict current flow from the condenser 12 to the generator winding 10 and a second rectifier 15 in series with a resistor 16, if necessary, is connected across the winding 10. A high tension step up transformer may be provided for each sparking plug of a multi-cylinder engine. The generator may be adapted to provide a lighting output.
