Abstract
922,006. Guards for cookers. P. TAYLORJan. 21, 1960 [May 1, 1959], No. 14877/59. Class 126. A cooker guard comprises a frame 1 of wire or the like supporting a meshed, reticulated or perforated member 2 and having legs 3, 4 detachably slotted in brackets 6 adapted to be vertically secured to the cooker. The leg 4 is welded to a U-shaped wire 5 adjustable along the guard to suit cookers of differing widths. The guard may be fitted to the front only or to one or both sides also of the cooker. In another embodiment, the guard consists of two parts, each having one leg, the frame of one part being horizontally telescopic in the frame of the other. To retain the guard in position, one or both legs may have means such as a cut-out flap 7, Fig. 6, for engaging the lower edge of the bracket 6 or a thumbscrew (not shown) may be passed through the bracket to engage the leg. The legs may be of strip metal as shown or each formed as an elongated loop integral with the frame 1. The brackets 6 may have an adhesive film at the back for securing them to the cooker.
