A strap attachment comprises a U-shaped metal frame 10, 11 having a tubular bar 14 disposed adjacent an abutment 15 and mounted between the legs 11 of the frame for displacement transversely of the bar to clamp a strap 16 laid around it against the abutment, in which the leg portions of a U-shaped yoke extends along the legs 11 of the frame and engage, through pins 19 the ends of the tubular bar 14 whereby the latter may be displaced manually by the yoke. As shown a resilient C-shaped casing 17 holds the bar 14 and the abutment together with the strap 16 clamped between them.
