A sinuous spring 1 has its end limb 2 secured to a metal sheet 5 welded, at 8, to a tubular frame 4, the sheet 5 having a portion which projects clear of the frame 4 and is formed with a pair of holes 7 and a tunnel 6 extending between the holes 7 and the spring being anchored by the passage of the inwardly bent end 3 of the end limb 2 successively through the holes 7 so that the end limb 2 engages in the tunnel 6. A part or the whole of the terminal wave of the spring may rest on the plate 5.
