Abstract
920,612. Unpacking articles. FISONS FERTILIZERS Ltd. June 19, 1959 [June 25, 1958], No. 20288/58. Class 94(1). [Also in Group XXX]. A grouped layer of articles a-f, sliding down an inclined ramp 2 is dispersed into a single stream of individual articles on a fast moving conveyer 7 by arranging a slowly moving conveyer 6 at right angles to the ramp 2 and the conveyer 7 at an acute angle to the conveyer 6 and moving in the same general direction as the conveyer 6. A horizontal roller conveyer 5 a stationary smooth surface 8, and guide members 9 and 10 are included where shown. A ram 3, Fig. 2, (not shown) may elevate a stack of sacks layer by layer to the top of the ramp 2 whereupon each layer is pushed one-byone on to the ramp by a reciprocating plunger. Alternatively the stack of sacks may be on a stationery platform and the upper end of the ramp 2, and said plunger, may descend layerby-layer.
