920,437. Lubricating. BROWN, BOVERI & CIE A.G. May 8, 1959 [July 19, 1958], No. 15958/59. Class 12 (3). An oil-conveying device for a refrigerant compressor has a feed-tube 2 which extends into an oil-sump 1, the tube 2 is connected with a valve-less piston pump driven by a crankshaft 7 which has a helical groove 18 thereon and the groove is in communication with the pump. The tube 2 is secured to a cylinder 10 and is throttled at 12. A piston 4, in the cylinder 10, has an aperture 14 which is engaged by an eccentric extension 8 of the crank-shaft 7 so that, on rotation thereof, the piston 4 is reciprocated and oil is forced along a tube 9 in the shaft 7 to the helical groove 18 and, consequently, to the crank-shaft bearing.
