Abstract

920,422. Roll holders. C. C. WALKER Ltd. Sept 30, 1960 [Sept 30, 1959], No. 33111/59. Class 18. A holder for a toilet roll or like roll (e.g. paper towels) comprises an attachment part 1 provided with a pair of spaced arms 4 which are resilient and which have inturned outer ends 5 formed with enlarged bearing parts 6 adapted to fit into opposite ends of the roll and rotatably support the latter. Attachment part 1 (made of sheet metal) supports a U-shaped member 2 formed form a single length of wire, this member has resilient arms 4 formed with inturned, aligned outer ends 5 which carry at their extremities wire annuli 6 connected by radial portions 7. The inner ends 9 of each arm 4 are bent into a serpentine form to improve the strength and resiliency of the wire arms and to form stops which abut against the attachment part 1. The holder is secured to an upright surface by means of screws in holes 11.
