Abstract

222,248. Gardner, H. F. July 17, 1923. Arrangements of springs with mountings complete in themselves.-Shelves or shelf frames are suspended by anti-vibration supports comprising a loosely mounted sleeve 1, Fig. 2, containing a coiled spring 5, pressing at one end on the sleeve, and at the other end on a nut and shelf-supporting rod 7. Cover plates 3 fitting over the upper end of the sleeve 1 are attached directly or indirectly to the ceiling. The spring support 1 may have ball bearings 11 to facilitate rotation, or may be fixed against rotation.
