Abstract
134,180. Sage & Co., F., and Bosker, B. June 6, 1919. Lay-figure stands; pedestal and like stands. - A dummy bust &c. isrotatably mounted so as to be vertically adjustable on its supporting-rod. A clamping-member is fitted on the rod, and the bust carries a pair of bearing-members working on or about the ends of the clamping-member. A construction of fitting is in Fig. 1. A bottom plates e<1> has upturned arms e<2> which are fixed at their upper ends to a top plate c, to which the bottom of the bust is attached by screws. Both plates e, e<1> have central holes to receive the rod b, and a sleeve a, lying freely between the plates e, e<1>, is also a loose fit on the rod. The sleeve a is held in position by a clamping-screw a<2>, which either bears directly on the rod or through a bear. ing-piece. It is not necessary for the rod to be continued through the neck of the bust.
