920,043. Sound and fireproof doors. HYRESGASTERNAS SPARKASSE - OCH BYGGNADSFORENANGARS RIKSFORBUND U.P.A. April 27, 1961 [May 15, 1960], No. 15202/61. Class 20 (3). In a sound insulating and fire protecting door comprising two outer wooden, preferably flexible sheets 6, 7 secured to a frame 1 with an intermediate panel 3 of fire protecting asbestos and sound insulating and fire resistant rock wool filling 5, the periphery of the panel 3 lies inwardly of the periphery of the door forming a groove extending around the door and the groove is filled with a heat expansible fire protecting mass 4 of cement to fill the gap between the panel and frame in case of fire. The jamb frame 9 may be made in two parts separated by asbestos strip 8 to form a groove lying opposite the groove in the panel and also filled by mass 4. Fire resistant filling may be placed between the jamb frame and wall. The filling 5 is bonded to panel 3 or frame 1 and may be the outer panels 6, 7.
