Abstract

919,770. Conveying bottles. HILL ENGINEERING CO. (HULL) Ltd., THOMAS. May 29, 1961 [June 15, 1960], No. 20985/60. Class 78 (1). A random supply of bottles is fed at 12 by means of guides 14 and 15 on to endless conveyers 16 whence they are removed by driven transverse belt 18 which moves them leftwards and at the same time agitates them by rotating them in order to avoid a jam. Bottles are thus delivered on to conveyers 20 and 22 which convey them until they meet driven transfer belt 26 which delivers them all on to the belt 22 for discharge at 24. Any bottles which pass beyond the side of conveyer 22 are collected by conveyer 28 and conveyed back to be discharged by curved guide 30 back on to belt 22. In. this way a uniform delivery of bottles is achieved on belt 22. The angle of transfer belts 18 and 26 may be varied.
