In a diazotype photocopying apparatus wherein the sheets are conveyed through an exposure section and a developing section by at least one endless flexible conveyer belt, the belt or at least one of the belts is provided with one or more ribs integral with or attached to the belt, which rib or ribs extend longitudinally of the belt and engages grooves in the rollers or surfaces over which the belt is taken. The exposure section may comprise a transparent cylinder rotating around a light source and round which the original and light-sensitive sheets are conveyed in contact by a belt or series of narrow parallel belts, according to the invention. The developing section may comprise a tank with an aperture or perforated side through which developing gases pass and over which the material is conveyed by an endless sealing belt, the belt being constructed with ribs at either edge which engage in grooves in the guide rollers. In addition, the tank may be provided with one or more internal belts of vapour-passing material which contact the sealing belt in the region of the aperture in the developing tank. These internal belts also may have ribs according to the invention.
