Abstract

918,846. Suitcase &c. handles. HELLERMANN Ltd. Feb. 5, 1960 [Feb. 12, 1959], No. 4921/59. Class 133. An end cap for a carrying handle comprises an inner liner 1 with a flat upper surface and flanges 1a, 1c depending respectively at its sides and one end, hole 1 in the upper surface to receive an attaching bolt 3, and a cover 2 which is pressed in snap engagement with the liner, having corresponding flanges 2a, 2b as well as an extension 2c wrapped round the margin of the liner 1 at the open end of the cap, a pip 2d on the cover end flange 2b engaging in a slot 1d in the liner end flange 1c. The liner side flanges have pointed extensions 1b which enter the case surface when the bolt 3 is tightened.
