918,423. Mortar projectiles. DONNER, H. O. April 23, 1959, No. 13950/59. Class 9 (1). A mortar projectile having a body 1, to which is attached a tubular apertured tail 2 housing a launching charge and surrounded by guide fins 5, is closed at the rear by a plug 6. The plug is apertured to receive a detonator and has a bevelled flange 7 providing a flat surface perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the projectile. Metal such as a light alloy may be used for the plug 6.
