Abstract
917,604. Generators operating by electromagnetic interaction with fluids. BROWN, BOVERI & CIE A.G. Oct. 27, 1960 [Oct. 31, 1959], No. 36913/60. Class 35. An electrical generator comprises a channel a, b, d for the flow of a hot gas therethrough, means M 1 , M 2 for the production of a magnetic field H transverse to the direction V of gas flow, and means for adding to the flow, at a point within the magnetic field, material which adds metallic ions to the flow. In the embodiment shown, the material is fused potassium carbonate and the means comprise injection pipes D . . . D2 and a circular header S.
