Abstract

917,409. Induction flowmeters. ALTO INSTRUMENTS (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd. May 16, 1961 [May 20, 1960], No. 17800/60. Class 37. In a detector head comprising an insulating tube 1 arranged between the polepieces 2, 3 of a magnetic system, the screened leads 10 from the measuring electrodes 6 are brought symetrically around the tube to a point at which the screens 9 of the leads are bonded together electrically, and with a screening plate 4 through which they pass, the leads thereafter being twisted together and led out through an insulated bush 15 in a hole through an adjacent polepiece 2. The screening plates 4, 5 are interconnected by a wire 16, and plate 4 is connected to two symmetrically-disposed spaced earth electrodes 17 recessed into the inner surface of the tube wall.
