Abstract
917,314. Shuttering for casting walls. SIEMENS-BAUUNION G.m.b.H. June 12, 1959 [June 13, 1958; May 12, 1959], No. 20200/59. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXX] Shuttering for walls with scaffolding for workmen is raised as casting proceeds on rods K in the wall B being cast, by means of a pair of clamping devices W, V which grip the rod when moved downwardly and release it when moved upwardly and which are connected together by double-acting jacks X which raise the clamps W, V alternately by outward or inward movement of the jack piston rods respectively, the jacks being arranged symmetrically with respect to the rod K, e.g. one on each side and are pivoted to the clamping devices. Each clamp comprises a housing 6, Fig. 4, in which are three rings 20 surrounding the rod K each being forced upwardly against a stop screw 25 on one side by a spring 22 so that the ring tilts and engages one side of the rod. The rings may be released by the inclined ends of bolts 1 operated by nuts 28. The shuttering P and five working platforms R, N, O, S, T are supported by a framework G on a beam F secured to the clamp V. Each rod K rests on a brick M and extends through a sheath H connected to the beam F and moving up with the shuttering to leave clearance for the rod K to be removed subsequently.
