Apparatus for securing oil feed into the lubricating system of the bearings of turbomachines comprises an oil pressure tank 1 connected through a pressure-responsive valve 6 to piping 7 through which oil enters the bearings, and is also connected by means of a non-return valve 8 to the delivery piping 9 of a main lubricant supply pump in which delivery piping the highest pressure in the lubricating system exists. In the event of a fall in pressure in the lubricating system, the valve 6 opens to admit oil under pressure from the tank into the bearings to protect them until the machine finally stops.
