917,127. Roof-drainage. NEWMAN, J. S. March 1, 1961, No. 7518/61. Class 33. A surface drainage structure for use with roofs or like surfaces comprises a drain body 10 with a flat undersurface 11 to engage with the roof 13; a peripheral flange 15 integral with the body 10; an inlet grating 16 as shown detachably attachable to the body 10; a tubular outlet 18 leading from the body 10 (attached to it) having a flange 19 making seating contact with the roof 13; and an extension member 27 from the outlet fitting in overlapping and telescoping relation therewith. The flange 15 is discontinuous for complete drainage and through it pass screws 17 to hold the grating 16 seated on body 10. A slidable collar 23 fits around the outlet fitting 18, is adjustably clampable thereto by screws 24 and has an integral flange 25 to clamp against the slab 20 of the roof 13. The fitting 18 or a neck 26 thereof telescopes into the extension member 27, a sealing ring 31 seated on an abutment 30 and deformable by a pressure ring 32 being located between the member 27 and the neck 26 as shown. The member 27 is threaded to connect with a drainage system.
