Abstract

917,043. Starting prime movers. TOWMOTOR CORPORATION. Oct. 28, 1960 [Oct. 29, 1959], No. 37211/60. Class 38 (4). [Also in Groups XXIX and XXXI] In a lift truck having- hydraulic propelling means and an hydraulic lift device, the prime mover of the vehicle is an internal-combustion engine, the starter circuit of which, Fig. 9, includes a battery 186, starter motor 187, starter switch 188 and an additional switch 189, which is provided with an arm 184 bearing against a cam surface in the control mechanism for the hydraulic transmission. The latter includes an operating pedal 36 and linkwork 177, 178, 179 connected with the spool 35 of the hydraulic control valve and when in the neutral position, the switch 189 is closed and the starter motor may be operated. If left in a " drive " position, co-operation of the cam with the lever 185 opens switch 189 and the starter motor may not be operated. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 869,024.
