Abstract
968,637. Clutch control. FOIX Y CIA SOC. REGULAR COLECTIVA. July 3, 1962, No. 25521/62. Heading F2L. In an automatic clutch control system a spring 14 which normally overrides the clutch engaging springs 4 is rendered inoperative by an engine-driven servomotor 17 at a predetermined speed. As shown the servomotor is driven by the fan belt and a pulley 18, and is connected by a link 16 to a double-armed lever 13, 11 mounted on the shaft 10 of the fork 9 operating the clutch release collar 7. The arm 11 is connected to the clutch pedal by a link 12, and the arm 13 may also be connected by a link 23 to the parking brake lever 24 to hold the clutch engaged and unload the springs 4 while the brake is applied. The servomotor 17 may be rendered ineffective by an electric switch 20 operated by a knob 22 on the end of the gear change lever 21.
