Abstract

916,904. Transformers. PEEBLES & CO. Ltd., BRUCE. Sept. 21, 1961 [Sept. 21, 1960], No. 32508/60. Class 38 (2). A magnetic core, e.g. for a three-phase transformer, comprises three laminated core units, separated by ducts, 13, each of the three limbs and the yokes of the core being formed by limbs and yokes of two of the core units, e.g. limbs 4, 5, of core units 1, 2 form the central limb, a flux path between each pair of core units being provided by stacked junction laminations 15. The longer sides 16 of the junction laminations are inclined alternately one one side and the other of the direction of the length of the core unit laminations. All laminations may be grain orientated in the directions shown by the arrows 17, 18.
