[Also in Group XXXII] In a maximum demand electricity supply meter, the slave pointer 19, Fig. 2, is retained in position by a viscous damper comprising relatively rotatable plates 12, 20 with interposed highly viscous silicone grease 28 retained at the periphery by labyrinth passages 33. An annular projection 25 on one of the plates 12 maintains the required spacing. A forwardly projecting limb 18 of the indicator mechanism 15 engages and moves the pointer 19 through a projection (not shown). Specification 916,330 is referred to.
