A high wing monoplane aircraft has a fuselage 1 comprising two side-by-side, substantially circular cross-section compartments 7, 8 which are closed at the rear by doors 10, 11. The compartments are separated by a wall 9 in the plane of symmetry of the aircraft. The main landing gear 15 is retractable into nacelles 16'built on to the fuselage walls. The wall 9 may be a girder. Specification 913,005 is referred to.
